  • What do I need to bring and wear the first day?
    • Please bring your insurance card, prescription, comfortable clothing

  • How long is each session?
    • Approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour

  • Do I need a referral in addition to my prescription?
    • A prescription comes from the referring physician suggesting physical therapy
    • A referral comes from your primary care office
      • A referral is needed for some health insurance plans (BCBS HMO and Tufts HMO)
      • Our office manager can assist you with these particulars during your first visit
    • Some patients may need to notify their health insurance company that they will begin physical therapy prior to attending their first visit (Unicare)

  • How long have you been practicing physical therapy?
    • Since 1998, please see my background in the BIO section

  • How long has Labell PT been around?
    • Since December 2006 with hundreds of satisfied patients and dozens of satisfied doctors so far

  • Can anyone take the classes you offer?
    • The classes are open to all current and previous patients

  • Can I take your classes at either campus?
    • All land therapy is done at the Rowley office and aquatic therapy at the Ipswich YMCA

  • How long is the typical course of treatment?
    • Approximately 10-16 visits based on the evaluation, availability of the patient and the doctor's orders

  • What if I miss my appointment, will I have to pay?
    • Unless unusual circumstances, patients are charged a $25 cancellation fee/no show fee without 24hour notice

  • Is there a co-payment each session?
    • This depends on each health insurance company and your plan
    • Please contact your health insurance company or our office manager for assistance
  • Do I have to be a member of Excel Fitness Center or the Ipswich Y to see you?
    • No, you become a member of the gym the days you are seen as a patient
